Built for screenshot-first play
The app starts with the image you already have: a current game screenshot. It reads the board and rack, then lets you make corrections before asking the solver for move suggestions.
That screenshot-first flow matters because a modern word board game is not just a bag of letters. The best play depends on fixed tiles, open hooks, premium squares, cross words, and the exact rack in front of you. TileSmith tries to turn the picture into that structured board state so the solver can reason about the actual position.
Why review matters
Screenshot OCR is never perfect. TileSmith keeps the board editable so a missed tile or blank can be fixed before move scoring.
A single missed letter can change the legal moves dramatically. The review step is deliberately part of the product: check the board, correct the rack, then score. That makes the result more trustworthy than a black-box upload that hides what it thinks it saw.
When to use it
Use this page when you have a live game screenshot and want a fast way to recreate the board without typing every tile manually. If you already know the board and only want to compare rack letters, the rack analyzer is the more focused tool.
